Program Description
The Riverbank Youth Ice Hockey Program for Squirts provides
the opportunity for players born in the years (2001 and 2002) who
are intermediate level skaters to learn hockey basics and more advanced
game play. The sessions focus on skill development in skating and
stick handling and knowledge of the positions, rules, and strategies
in hockey. Coaches will use technical drills and cross-ice scrimmage
sessions to advance skating techniques, stick handling, passing
skills, shooting, and game strategies. Squirts also participate
in games against teams at the same or higher level from other hockey
programs. Squirts who qualify, can age up or move up one level to
the Squirt program to better their progress.
All players must register with USA Hockey and pay a $33 registration
fee. The fee provides ice insurance, permission to play games, and
a subscription to the USA Hockey Magazine. Click
